August 28, 2025 – Suzaku, the pioneering Decentralization Hub for Layer 1 (L1) blockchains, today announced the successful completion of a $1.5 million total fundraise. This significant capital infusion, garnered through a combination of a seed round, public sales, and strategic grants from the Avalanche Foundation, will empower Suzaku to further its mission of securely scaling and decentralizing validator sets for Avalanche L1s.
The funding underscores strong confidence from key players within the blockchain ecosystem in Suzaku's innovative approach to enhancing cryptoeconomic security and fostering a robust staking layer.

Revolutionizing L1 Security and Decentralization
Suzaku is purpose-built as a "Decentralization Hub" tailored specifically for Avalanche L1s. It addresses critical needs within the ecosystem by providing diverse security models, ranging from Proof-of-Authority (PoA) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and dual-staking mechanisms. The protocol effectively operates as a sophisticated validator marketplace, seamlessly connecting:- Stakers: Users who contribute to securing Avalanche L1s by staking their native L1 tokens and restaking blue-chip assets, receiving rewards in return.
- Operators: High-tier infrastructure providers and validators who offer their services to L1 networks, enabling them to scale and decentralize their validator sets.
- L1 Networks: These networks reward both stakers for providing cryptoeconomic security and operators for running the essential infrastructure.
A key innovation of Suzaku is its restaking mechanism, which allows L1 networks to achieve higher and more stable cryptoeconomic security while potentially reducing the rewards they need to pay out. This creates a more efficient and sustainable security model for the growing number of Avalanche subnets.
Introducing SUZ Token and Suzaku Relayer Network (SuzakuRN)
At the core of the Suzaku ecosystem is the SUZ token. Holders can stake SUZ to receive emissions, expose themselves to incentives, and gain potential airdrops from Avalanche L1s and DeFi partners, further aligning incentives across the network.
