Midas Raises $50M Series A to Launch Instant Liquidity for Onchain Assets

LONDON — Midas, the pioneering platform for composable onchain investment products, has announced the successful closing of a $50 million Series A funding round. This milestone investment aims to accelerate the company’s mission to bridge the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) by introducing the world’s first instant liquidity layer for tokenized assets.

The funding round was led by RRE Ventures and Creandum, with significant participation from a heavy-hitting syndicate of crypto-native and institutional investors, including Framework Ventures, HV Capital, Ledger Cathay, North Island Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Franklin Templeton, FJ Labs, and GSR Ventures.

Redefining Onchain Investment Utility

While the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) has gained massive momentum, the sector has long struggled with a "utility gap." Most tokenized assets suffer from redemption latency and a lack of composability, making them difficult to use within the fast-moving DeFi ecosystem.

Midas is solving these hurdles through its Open Liquidity Architecture, powered by the newly launched Midas Staked Liquidity (MSL).

1. Midas Staked Liquidity (MSL): The End of Redemption Latency

MSL acts as a dedicated facility that settles without counterparty or settlement risk. By providing an initial capacity of $40 million, MSL allows investors to bypass traditional settlement windows, transforming slow-moving instruments like funds, ETFs, and stocks into instant, liquid onchain primitives.

2. Midas Attestation Engine: Radical Transparency

To ensure institutional-grade trust, Midas has deployed its Attestation Engine. This system provides:

  • Continuous Onchain Proof of Reserve: Real-time verification of underlying assets.
  • NAV & Price Updates: Cryptographically verifiable data published directly on-chain.
  • Independent Verification: Enabling any protocol or investor to confirm asset allocations without relying on third-party intermediaries.

Market Traction and Proven Success

The Series A comes on the back of explosive growth for Midas. The platform’s native mTokens have rapidly become a preferred vehicle for yield-seeking investors and institutional asset managers.

Key Performance Metrics to Date:

  • $1.7B+ in total assets minted.
  • $500M+ in current Total Value Locked (TVL).
  • $37M+ in yield paid out to investors.
  • 20,000+ individual mToken holders.
  • Deep Integrations: Live across leading DeFi protocols including Morpho, Curve, and Pendle.

A Strategic Roadmap: Beyond Treasury Bills

With the infrastructure for instant redemptions now live, Midas is moving aggressively to expand its product suite. The company plans to move beyond its current offerings into more complex institutional asset classes, including:

  • Reinsurance (in partnership with MembersCap).
  • Asset Receivables (via Fasanara).
  • Tokenized Stocks.

Furthermore, Midas is deepening its distribution network through a strategic integration with Ledger Wallet, bringing institutional-grade yield products directly to retail and professional hardware wallet users.

Leadership Perspectives

"At Midas, our vision is to make investing work like the internet: open, transparent, composable — and for everyone. With the closing of our Series A, we are thrilled to advance these efforts and build the future for onchain investing."

Dennis Dinkelmeyer, CEO & Co-Founder of Midas.

Vic Singh, General Partner at RRE Ventures, emphasized the importance of Midas's infrastructure:

"Tokenization will fundamentally reshape global capital markets as TradFi moves on-chain. Midas is building the infrastructure for tokenized capital markets, and we are proud to be on this ride with them."

Simon Schmincke, Partner at Creandum, added:

"Midas has the regulatory set-up, the technical architecture, and the distribution network required to bring institutional-grade products onchain. Their team brings a pedigree of deep subject matter expertise that is rare in this space."
